We, the BCMA Victoria Branch, with the full support of the BCMA Head Office, are excited to announce that we have begun the application process in seeking approval from the Ministry of Education and Child Care (MECC) to open Victoria Islamic School (VIS) in September

2025. Approval to open an Independent School in BC is a 5-step application process that takes time. To date, an "Expression of Interest" has been submitted to and accepted by the MECC. We are moving onto the next step which requires submitting a detailed application.

Should our multi-step application be successful, we would begin by offering a kindergarten class in Sept 2025 that integrates the BC curriculum with Islamic values and Arabic language instruction. The intent would be to add a grade each year thereafter.

We, the BCMA Victoria Branch, with the full support of the BCMA Head Office, are excited to announce that we are in the process of seeking approval from the Ministry of Education to open Victoria Islamic School (VIS) in September 2025, offering a kindergarten class that integrates the BC curriculum with Islamic values and Arabic language instruction.

 

As part of our application, we are collecting non-binding expressions of interest (EOI) from families who may consider enrolling their children at VIS. This is purely an initial gauge of community interest and does not serve as an enrollment commitment or obligation of any kind.

What is This Form?

This Form is an Indication of Interest. It is designed to help us determine the level of community support and potential demand for VIS. Space is available on the form for comments and/or questions.

Filling out this form does not obligate you to enroll your child at VIS nor does it imply any commitment to participate in any activities, financial or otherwise.

Purpose

The sole purpose of the form is to gather potential interest and to support our application for the establishment of an Independent School.
